Scientists track babies for 3 years to unlock mystery of malnutrition
NCT ID NCT07195006
Summary
This study aims to understand the complex links between a mother's health, her environment, and her baby's growth. Researchers will follow 368 mother-baby pairs in Zimbabwe for three years, collecting detailed information on nutrition, gut bacteria, sanitation, and stress. The goal is to learn how these factors combine to cause malnutrition and poor development in young children, which could inform future prevention strategies.
