Could your skin diagnosis be wrong? study probes hidden flaw in how doctors see

NCT ID NCT04332783

Summary

This research aims to understand a potential flaw in how doctors examine skin images remotely. When doctors look at hundreds of skin pictures one after another, what they saw previously can unconsciously influence their current diagnosis. The study will measure this effect and test ways to reduce these errors to improve the accuracy of remote skin cancer screenings.
