Could a simple memory test predict Post-Surgery confusion?

NCT ID NCT06869876

Summary

This study aimed to understand if thinking problems before surgery can predict who gets confused (delirium) after a hip replacement. Researchers observed 75 adults over 65 having elective hip surgery. They gave memory and thinking tests before and after surgery to see if lower scores were linked to developing post-surgery delirium.
