After a fall: the hidden risk to Seniors' independence

NCT ID NCT07163715

Summary

This study aims to understand how often older adults struggle with daily tasks like dressing or bathing after visiting the emergency room for a fall and being sent home. Researchers will follow 280 adults aged 65+ for 30 days after their ER visit to see if their ability to care for themselves declines. The goal is to identify which health and lifestyle factors, like frailty or fear of falling again, put people at higher risk so doctors can provide better follow-up care.
