First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a combination of drugs to help people with aplastic anemia or low-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) who have dangerously low blood counts. The treatment includes horse anti-thymocyte globulin (hATG) and cyclosporine to calm the immune system, plus steroids and growth factors to boost white blood cells. The goal is to improve blood counts and reduce the need for transfusions, but ongoing management is still needed.
