First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called STSA-1002 in 406 adults with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a life-threatening lung condition often caused by viral infections. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers track survival rates and recovery over 28 to 60 days. The goal is to see if the drug reduces deaths and helps patients breathe on their own sooner.
