First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving women structured counseling about birth control options during pregnancy helps them choose long-acting methods like IUDs or implants after giving birth. About 160 pregnant women in Sweden will take part, and researchers will compare those who get the counseling to those who receive standard care. The goal is to reduce unintended pregnancies and abortions in the year after childbirth.
