First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a clot-busting drug (rhTNK-tPA) before a surgical procedure to remove a stroke-causing blood clot leads to better recovery. It focuses on patients who arrive at the hospital 4.5 to 24 hours after their stroke symptoms began. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo (inactive substance) to see if it improves patients' independence 90 days later and is safe.
