NCT ID NCT07497542
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This phase 3 trial tests whether giving a large amount of IV saline (about 2-2.5 liters) right after clot-busting treatment helps people recover better from a stroke. Researchers will compare this to giving only a small amount of fluids. The study plans to enroll 752 adults aged 18-80 who had a stroke and received clot-busting medication. The main goal is to see if the extra fluids lead to better functional independence 90 days later.
