Massive study tracks hidden brain plaque to predict strokes
NCT ID NCT07156344
Summary
This study observed 3,849 people who had narrowing in their brain arteries but no prior stroke symptoms. Researchers used routine brain scans and memory tests to track how these plaques change over time. The goal was to learn which plaques are most dangerous and to create better models for predicting who might have a stroke or memory problems in the future.
