Shocking new stroke therapy: brain zaps + tablet games boost arm recovery!

NCT ID NCT07439367

First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to help people who had a stroke and still have trouble using one arm. It combines a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation (called theta-burst stimulation) with a tablet-based reaching game. 36 stroke survivors and 10 healthy people will take part. The goal is to see if this combo improves arm movement and brain connections better than a fake (sham) stimulation.
