Brain-Shield drug added to Clot-Buster in major stroke recovery trial

NCT ID NCT07369999

Summary

This study is testing if adding a brain-protecting drug (butylphthalide) to a standard clot-dissolving medicine (tenecteplase) helps people recover better after a mild but disabling stroke. Over 1,000 participants who have a stroke with mild symptoms but still have trouble with speech, vision, or movement will be enrolled. The main goal is to see if more people return to near-normal function 90 days after treatment.
