New registry tracks stroke patients on ventilators to predict long-term outcomes

This study followed 364 adults with severe stroke who needed a breathing machine in the ICU. Researchers measured their recovery and disability levels at 3 months and 1 year after ICU admission. The goal was to better understand what happens to these patients over time, not to test a new treatment.
