New hope to stop repeat strokes and protect the brain
NCT ID NCT07180472
Summary
This study aims to find the best blood-thinning medication to prevent repeat strokes and slow brain decline in people with cerebral small vessel disease. It will compare three drugs—cilostazol, aspirin, and clopidogrel—in 632 patients who recently had a minor stroke. Researchers will track if participants have another stroke, if their thinking skills decline, and monitor brain changes on MRI scans over time.
