Summary

This study tested a program to help stroke survivors in rural Kentucky take their medications more consistently. Community health workers and pharmacists worked with 4 participants to identify and overcome barriers to taking their blood pressure and stroke prevention medications. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and could help control blood pressure to prevent future strokes.
