Stroke showdown: which Pre-Surgery drug saves more brain?

Summary

This study tests two drugs, tirofiban and alteplase, given before a procedure to remove a large blood clot in the brain during a stroke. About 800 adults with acute ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs. The goal is to see which drug leads to better recovery and independence after three months.
