Wearable patch aims to solve mysterious stroke cases

NCT ID NCT05431972

Summary

This study tested whether a wearable heart monitor worn for 7 days (Cardea SOLO) is better than a standard one-time EKG at finding a hidden irregular heartbeat in certain stroke patients. The goal was to improve diagnosis for people who had a stroke but doctors couldn't find the cause. Researchers compared the two methods in 257 patients who had a recent stroke and an enlarged heart chamber.
