Zapping the brain to relearn movement: new hope for stroke Survivors' arms

NCT ID NCT07439367

Summary

This study is testing a new rehabilitation method to help people who have weakness in one arm months or years after a stroke. Researchers are combining gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation with interactive tablet exercises to see if it improves arm control and movement. The study will compare the effects of real stimulation to a placebo (sham) treatment in 36 stroke survivors, with an additional 10 healthy participants for comparison.
