New hope for rare liver cancer: immunotherapy plus chemo enters phase 2 trial

Summary
This study tests a combination of two immunotherapy drugs (tremelimumab and durvalumab) plus two chemotherapy drugs (gemcitabine and cisplatin) in people with a rare liver cancer called combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread. About 29 participants will receive the treatment for up to 24 months. The goal is to see how many patients' tumors shrink or disappear.
