Summary

This study tested two non-drug treatments—post-isometric relaxation and simple stretching—to see which works better for easing period pain and helping young women stay active. Forty-four unmarried women with painful periods did one of the two exercises three times a week for eight weeks. The goal was to find a safe, effective way to manage menstrual pain without medication.
