Stretching showdown: which therapy works best for sciatica?
NCT ID NCT07384832
Summary
This study compared two physical therapy approaches for people with sciatica (lumbar radiculopathy) to see which works better for reducing pain and improving movement. Seventy-two participants received either dynamic stretching exercises or a specialized nerve gliding technique, along with standard heat and electrical stimulation therapy, four times a week for six weeks. Researchers measured participants' pain levels, daily function, and back flexibility to determine which method provided greater relief.
