Can electric muscle stimulation make stretching more effective for young athletes?
NCT ID NCT07075497
Summary
This study tested whether adding mild electrical stimulation to a specific stretching routine improves hamstring flexibility in young soccer players. Researchers compared two groups of players aged 10-18: one used electrical stimulation during stretching, while the other used the same stretching without real stimulation. The goal was to see which method better increased flexibility and whether it affected jumping ability.
