Nurses test simple stretches to ease painful dialysis cramps

NCT ID NCT07262879

Summary

This study tested whether a simple stretching program led by nurses during dialysis treatment could reduce painful muscle cramps in patients with kidney failure. Sixty adults who regularly experience cramps during dialysis were randomly assigned to either do supervised leg stretches twice a week for eight weeks or continue with their usual care. Researchers measured if the stretching program reduced how often cramps happened and how severe they were.
