Scientists recreate ER stress to study Body's reactions
NCT ID NCT04317482
Summary
This study aims to understand how people physically and emotionally react to stressful situations similar to those in emergency departments. Researchers will have 30 participants (20 with methamphetamine use history and 10 healthy adults) perform public speaking and math tasks in a simulated emergency room. They'll measure stress hormones, blood pressure, and agitation levels to see if different speaking topics make the experience feel more like a real emergency visit.
