Scientists probe Brain's role in youth chronic pain

NCT ID NCT04488757

Summary

This study aims to understand how stress affects the brain and body in young people (ages 11-17) with chronic widespread pain. Researchers will measure brain activity, stress hormones, and other body functions in 70 participants to learn how these factors relate to pain and disability. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help develop better mind-body treatments, like meditation, for this condition in the future.
