Simple stress balls and kind words may ease mammogram fear
NCT ID NCT07562828
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at two simple, drug-free ways to help women feel less anxious and have less pain during their first mammogram and breast ultrasound. One group will squeeze a soft stress ball before and during the exam. Another group will receive calming words and a gentle touch from the staff. A third group will get the usual care. The goal is to see if these easy methods make the experience more comfortable.
