Can lifting weights lower your blood pressure? study tests two methods for seniors

NCT ID NCT07448818

Summary

This study aims to see if two different types of strength training are practical and safe for older adults with high blood pressure, and if they might improve heart health, mood, and fitness. Researchers will assign 60 participants to either dynamic training (moving weights) or isometric training (holding a muscle contraction). The main goal is to check if people can stick to the program and if it's well-liked, while also measuring changes in blood pressure and other health markers.
