Summary
This study aimed to understand how a single session of heavy versus lighter weightlifting affects the heart and blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. Researchers measured participants' heart rate and blood pressure for 24 hours after they performed two different strength workouts. The goal was to gather information to help guide safe exercise recommendations.
