First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how common a widened aorta (the main artery from the heart) is in people over 35 who have been weightlifting for at least 5 years. Researchers will use ultrasound to measure the aorta in bodybuilders, cross-fit athletes, and power lifters. The goal is to understand if long-term strength training is linked to changes in the aorta.
