First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding strength and balance exercises to standard cardiac rehab classes helps older adults (50+) improve their physical fitness and feel more confident. About 53 participants will be split into two groups: one doing the usual aerobic exercises, and the other adding strength and balance moves. After 12 weeks, researchers will measure changes in fitness, balance, and fear of falling, and also ask participants and instructors about their experience.
