First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new oral medication called STP938 for adults with high-risk essential thrombocythemia, a blood disorder causing dangerously high platelet counts. The study focuses on patients who can't tolerate or don't respond to the standard treatment, hydroxycarbamide. Participants will take STP938 daily for up to 12 months while researchers monitor how well it controls platelet levels and what side effects occur.
