Bedtime stories battle hospital fears in young patients
NCT ID NCT07418515
Summary
This study tested whether reading special stories to hospitalized children could help them feel less afraid of medical procedures and reduce their screen time, while also lowering their parents' stress. Researchers compared 44 children aged 4-6 who either received the story sessions for three days or just regular hospital care. The goal was to see if this simple, comforting activity could be easily added to normal nursing routines to improve the hospital experience.
