Can a coloring book calm kids before surgery?

Summary
This study is testing if a special coloring storybook can help children feel less scared, anxious, and in pain when they have surgery. It will involve 72 children, aged 6 to 9, who are scheduled for a common elective procedure. Half the kids will get the storybook to read and color before surgery, while the other half will receive the hospital's usual care, to see which approach works better.
