Can hepatitis b patients stop treatment? trial tests safety of medication break

NCT ID NCT04782375

Summary

This study is testing whether some adults with chronic hepatitis B can safely stop their long-term antiviral medication. Researchers will follow 140 patients who stop treatment and compare them to 700 similar patients who continue medication. The goal is to see if stopping is safe for patients who currently have very low virus levels and no liver scarring, with careful monitoring and restarting treatment if needed.
