Heart patients test life without daily blood thinners

NCT ID NCT07398001

Summary

This study aims to find out if patients who had a special drug-coated balloon treatment for a blocked heart artery can safely stop taking daily blood-thinning pills after one year. Researchers will compare over 1,000 patients who either stop or continue their medication to see which group has fewer combined heart problems and serious bleeding events. The goal is to help doctors decide the best long-term medication plan for people after this specific type of heart procedure.
