Trial tests if Long-Term remission means patients can stop powerful drugs

NCT ID NCT07491913

Summary

This study aims to find out if patients with Takayasu arteritis who have been in stable remission for years can safely stop their biologic medications. It will enroll 40 patients who have been on these drugs for at least 3 years with no symptoms. Participants will slowly reduce their dose over 3 months, then stop completely if they remain well, and be monitored for a year to see if the disease stays away.
