Could a poop test spare kids from scopes?

NCT ID NCT07083804

Summary

This study is testing if a simple stool test can accurately detect a common stomach bacteria (H. pylori) in children. Researchers will compare the results of the new stool test to the current standard method, which requires an endoscopy and biopsy under anesthesia. The goal is to find a reliable, non-invasive way to diagnose this infection in kids, which can sometimes lead to serious stomach problems later in life.
