New digital tool aims to make 'The Talk' easier for doctors and teens

NCT ID NCT04974086

Summary

This study tested a new computer tool built into a hospital's electronic health record system. The tool was designed to help pediatricians screen their teenage patients for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV. Researchers wanted to see if doctors found the tool easy to use and if both teens and their parents were comfortable with this approach to sexual health screening during regular check-ups.
