Can a common pill save joints from infection damage?
NCT ID NCT07440238
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a steroid pill (corticosteroid) to standard antibiotic treatment helps adults recover better from a severe joint infection called septic arthritis. The goal is to see if the steroid reduces long-term joint damage and pain by calming harmful inflammation. Researchers will compare joint function, pain levels, and recovery time between patients who receive the steroid plus antibiotics and those who receive antibiotics alone.
