New hope for tough skin blister disease that defies steroids
NCT ID NCT06696716
Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called ONO-4059 for people with pemphigus, a serious autoimmune disease that causes painful skin blisters, when standard steroid treatment has failed. About 34 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug plus a low steroid dose or a placebo plus a low steroid dose for 52 weeks to see which is better at controlling the disease. The main goal is to see how many patients achieve and maintain significant skin healing or remission over the full year.
