New nose drop study aims to restore lost sense of smell

NCT ID NCT07386873

Summary

This study is testing whether steroid drops placed deep in the nose work better than standard steroid sprays to improve the sense of smell in people with chronic sinusitis. Researchers will enroll 54 adults who have lost their smell due to a blockage in their smell pathways. The goal is to see if the targeted drops reduce inflammation more effectively and help people smell better.
