Steroid boost could make vitiligo surgery more effective
NCT ID NCT07472816
Summary
This study tests whether adding a short course of low-dose oral steroids improves outcomes for people with stable vitiligo undergoing skin cell transplant surgery. Researchers will compare surgery alone to surgery plus steroids in 60 participants to see if steroids reduce unwanted halos around treated areas and improve repigmentation. Participants will be followed for about 4 months to assess safety and effectiveness.
