Do clean gloves work as well as sterile ones for surgery wounds?

NCT ID NCT07436065

Summary

This small pilot study aimed to find out if using clean, non-sterile gloves is just as good as using sterile gloves for changing wound dressings after certain orthopedic surgeries. The goal was to see if one method was better at preventing surgical site infections. Researchers compared the two techniques in 25 adults who had knee surgery or simple fracture repair, checking their wounds for six weeks after the operation.
