First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether a simple step training program can improve how older adults recover from a trip. Thirty participants aged 65-80 either did step training, treadmill training, or no training for three weeks. Then, they were tripped in a lab to see if they could catch themselves without falling. The goal was to find a practical way to reduce fall risk.
