Three drugs tested to ease painful side effects of common kidney procedure

NCT ID NCT07447518

Summary

This study tested three different medications to see which works best at reducing the urinary discomfort, pain, and bleeding that many people experience after having a temporary kidney stent placed. Researchers enrolled 535 adults who needed a stent after kidney stone procedures and randomly assigned them to receive one of the medications or a placebo. The goal was to compare how well mirabegron, tamsulosin, and solifenacin relieve these common stent-related symptoms.
