New device trial aims to reinforce weakened aortas
NCT ID NCT02009644
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the Treovance Stent-Graft for people with a dangerous bulge in their main abdominal artery, known as an aortic aneurysm. The device is inserted via a catheter to reinforce the artery wall and prevent it from rupturing. Researchers are enrolling about 150 patients to check how safe the device is and how well it works over several years of follow-up.
