Brain stent study shows promise for stroke prevention

Summary
This study tested a stent (a small mesh tube) placed in a narrowed brain artery to improve blood flow and prevent strokes. 194 people with severe artery hardening in the brain received the stent. The main goal was to see if the artery stayed open after one year.
