New stent aims to keep lifeline for dialysis patients flowing
NCT ID NCT05232760
Summary
This study tested a special, flexible stent to treat recurring blockages where a dialysis patient's artery and vein are surgically connected. The goal was to see if this device could keep this vital access point open and working longer, reducing the need for repeated procedures. It involved a small group of adult patients on hemodialysis who had already undergone at least one previous procedure to fix a blockage.
