Kidney stone stent discomfort: which drug works best?

NCT ID NCT06803030

Summary

This study compares three existing medications—tamsulosin, solifenacin, and mirabegron—to see which one best reduces the pain and urinary symptoms people often experience after having a ureteral stent placed following kidney stone surgery. About 189 adult patients who had the stent placed will be randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs. Researchers will use a standard questionnaire to measure symptoms like pain and urinary issues on days 1, 7, and 14 after stent placement to determine which medication is most effective.
