New Two-Drug attack on stubborn stent infections

NCT ID NCT07301294

Summary

This study aims to see if using an antibiotic together with a mucus-dissolving agent is better at reducing slimy bacterial buildup on urinary stents placed after kidney stone surgery. It will involve 100 adults who have a stent placed for one month. The goal is to lower the risk of infections and discomfort caused by this bacterial film.
